Summer 2008 Track & Field

This past Tuesday, I gathered up the gear and went out to Drachman Stadium to see if I could get some shots of kids in action. Well, it was a tough place because there was just so much going on. Kids…every…where. Running, jumping, playing in the sand – there were people going everywhere. I think that the local strobist group could have a, pardon the pun, field day at one of these events. I got what I could, but was drawn toward the pole vaulters that were present. One of them, a very nice guy named <a href="http://www.stluciastar.com/NewsHome/Sports/tabid/391/newsid903/2143/Default.aspx" target="_blank" title="Link to St. Lucia Star Article">Dominic Johnson</a>, is going after his 3rd trip to the summer games. Yeah, those summer games…the ones with the five ring logo and the torch! I wish him and his competitors the best.
